The Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in Arts Management are equivalent to 1st and 2nd year of undergraduate study respectively.
These programs aim to equip students with essential skills and knowledge in the management of the arts and prepare students for working with artists and arts related industries, ranging from large organizations to self-employment. Students will gain the necessary skills to utilise cultural resources, both human and material, understand how to manage small and large projects, and operate arts enterprises.
Course Structure
Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Arts Management programs emphasize on administration with practical skill based courses in marketing, law, business management, finance and strtegic planning to complement the strong theory courses in art and culture. Students develop a very strong background in the arts and study in discipline areas that focus on the arts, heritage and cultural sectors. The programs comprised of 35 percent of studies on arts management subjects, 20 percent on business management subjects, 30 percent on related arts disciplines and 15 percent on communication subjects.
Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts aims to produce the best opportunities for students to develop their creative and professional potentials, in practical, conceptual and theoretical areas of arts related studies. An exciting place to experience a full range of artistic practices, the Faculty of Arts is organised into five departments: Arts Management, Dance, Design & Merchandising, Mass communication and Theatre Studies.
The faculty offers programs which are professional, flexible and relevant for a successful career in the arts industry. The faculty produces skilled and knowledgeable graduates who would shape the future of arts and cultural markets both regionally and internationally.
